 DUNGARVAN GAA NOTES….. wed october 25th.




THE club was delighted to hear that the inaugural Premier County intermediate football championship was played for the Paddy Fitzgerald Cup this year. Paddy’s family were present in Walsh Park last Saturday for the final when Roanmore defeated Rathgormack to lift the trophy.


THE two fields in our club grounds are closed for the winter apart from club training and games. The astro is available for bookings at reasonable rates for all comers.


Our regular Nursery group continues this and every Saturday while the weather permits. As always, newcomers are always welcome just come along to our astro turf facility at11 am any Saturday mornings and you will get a great introduction to your local GAA club in the heart of the town.

Our u7s had guests last week in our Astro pitch when St Pats joined us for a great fun filled hour . Well done to both groups . Thanks to St. Pats GAA & LGFA Juvenile Club for making the trip in. Our group train every Monday evening at 6pm in the Astro all welcome


This week’s Lotto jackpot was £16,600. Lotto Results 23/10/2023.This week’s lotto numbers are 2.12.23 and 27. There was no jackpot winner. Next week’s jackpot is worth £16,800. There were four Match 3 winners of £25 euro each, Jackie Regan, Crotty brothers x2 and Mary McCarthy.

Thanks to all our lotto players and sellers. Lotto tickets are available in Paddy Foleys, Hallahans Chemist, Queally’s, Walsh’s Spar, Country Store and Johnny Lynch’s Greengrocers and online.


The club was saddened to hear of the death of Isabel Baker in Ballinhassig last week. Isabel was daughter of the late Donie Barry, Mitchel St, a former committee member and Isabel was a fitness trainer with our adult teams back in the 1970’s.

Sympathy is also extended to Mary McCarthy, Boithrin na Rua on the death of her father Frank Callinan in Carlow recently.The club also sends its sympathy to the McGrath and Murray families on the recent death of Paddy McGrath, Silversprings, who was a noted hanballer in his younger days.
