CLUB WELCOMES ST. KIERNANS FROM LONDON TO DUNGARVAN
All roads lead to our club grounds this weekend when we will extend a cead mile failte to St. Kiernans football club from Barnet in London to celebrate the GAA la na gClubanna with ourselves and clubs who have a connection with our visitors abroad.
The following is the list of teams that will play games on Sunday from 9.30am to 2.30pm before our visitors will head to the Fraher Field to take in the Munster senior football championship game between Waterford and Tipperary: Under 8,10, 12 and 14 combinations of boys and girls.
The participating clubs are St. Olivers, Affane/Cappoquin/Tourin, Kilmacthomas/St. Marys, Dungarvan and St. Kiernans.
A lot of preparatory work has gone in to organising this event, especially by St. Kiernans who have made previous similar trips to Ireland and hopefully all will enjoy their stay in the town.
Our senior hurlers will play a league game on the Saturday at 5pm and all we can hope for is favourable weather for the two days which will make everything run smoothly.
