Sponsored Walk
The club is holding an important fundraiser this month to cover the many day to day expenses, such as hurling balls, team expenses, referees and the upkeep of the grounds. Our Spring 5K sponsored walk will be held on Sunday July 28th starting at 2pm and sponsorship cards are now available. This is a crucial fundraiser for the club and all players and members are requested to support it..
Under 14 County Hurling Final
Our under 14 hurlers will play Passage in the County division 3 hurling final at the Fraher Field on this Saturday at 1pm. The team scored a good win in the Western final against Clashmore/ Kinsalebeg in Bushy Park. Best of luck to all of the players and the team management in their quest to bring an under age title to the club.
Junior Football
Kilrossanty 4-14 Dungarvan 2-7.
We were well in this game leading up to half time in Leamybrien last Friday with the home side ahead by just 0-2 at 1-8 to 2-3 thanks to two opportunist goals by Fionn Hallahan and Stephen Donovan. However, we faded in the second half as Kilrossanty went on to record a well deserved win. This Thursday evening, we will play Brickeys in Bushy Park with a 8pm throw in time. Intermediate Football
Our next game in the Intermediate Football Championship was scheduled for Saturday July 13th v Ballinacourty, a date that clashes with the Hooli Long Puck. Very sportingly, with the permission of the Board, the Abbeyside/ Ballinacourty club have agreed to play the game on the Friday evening July 12th. Our thanks to our neighbours for their co operation in this matter.
Under 19 Football
Our Under 19 football championship match against Ballyduff takes place on Tuesday July 16th in Cappoquin at 7:30 pm.Extra time will be played in the event of a draw. Junior Hurling On Friday July 19th we play Lismore in round 4 of the Junior B Hurling Championship at Bushy Park.Throw in is 7:30 pm.
Minor Hurling
The minor hurling season is upon us and our first two games will be played this month. On this Wednesday July 10th we play An Ghaeltacht away and two weeks later, the 24th of July we will travel to Ballymac to play Fourmilewater. Both games start at 7.30pm.
Senior Hurling League
We will play Ballygunner in the semi final of the County senior hurling league in Kill on Saturday July /20th at 1.30pm..
Hooli Long Puck
The 4th Annual Hooli Long Puck in aid of the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust will be held in our club grounds this Saturday July 13th. The Hoolie Long Puck remembers our dear friend Hooli who lost his life in Thailand in 2015 and the money raised is presented to the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust who assist in bringing loved ones lost abroad home to their families.
Juvenile Training.
A reminder of training for all u7s u8s u9s u10 and u11s continues each Saturday morning at the club grounds at 11am.As always all new faces are most welcome to attend. Cúl Camps. There are a few spaces left in the Cúl Camp for week July 22nd to 26th. Bookings can be made online or through club secretary Tony Ryan. The camp caters for 140 children.
The Lotto Lotto Results 08/07/19.This week’s lotto numbers are 3.6.16 and 17.No jackpot winner. Next week’s jackpot is €5,500. There were two winners of the ‘Match 3’ worth £300, Fern Power and Oliver O Riordan. Next week’s prize is €100.
