UNDER 15 HURLERS WIN FEILE FINAL
Pride of place this week goes to our under 15 hurlers who won the Division 2 County Feile hurling final in Carriganore last Sunday morning. To reach the semi final we had to play three games on Saturday where we recorded wins over the Brickeys and Fourmilewater and we lost to St. Olivers which gave us the harder draw the following day.
However, the lads played great hurling to defeat Tramore by 0-9 to 1-4 in the semis and then we defeated St. Olivers in another close game by 1-6 to 0-7.
Well done to all of the players for their efforts in the five games and also their mentors who are putting in such great work with this age group.
GOLF CLASSIC FUNDRAISER.
The club will be holding a fundraising Golf Classic on 12 th and 13th May in West Waterford golf Club. It promises to be a great weekend of golf with many local golfers, our players, members and supporters looking forward to the event and taking part. A donation from the classic’s proceeds will be made by the Club to the Mercy Hospital Cancer Appeal.
The format will be a champagne scramble for teams of 3. Registration costs €150 per team and Included in the price are green fees, snacks, and meal in the clubhouse with some great prizes on offer. First prize is a four ball in the K club, worth £1000.

UNDER AGE
Our under 13 footballers are playing Lismore in the County semi final in Bushy Park this Wednesday evening, May 10th after their win at home to St. Mary’s last week. Our under 15 footballers have also qualified for the championship knock outs as a result of their 3-5 to 0-7 win over Rathgormack on the Monday May Bank holiday at home.
Our younger age groups went on their travels last week and really enjoyed themselves, the under 8’s in Ardmore and the under 10’s in Butlerstown..

Darragh Lyons and Patrick Curran are with the senior hurlers in Thurles this Saturday evening against Clare.
